Brian Chitwood
Lead Pastor
I’m the Lead Pastor here and I am loving being a part of this church family. I am fortunate enough to be blessed with a great partner in life and ministry. Barb and I have been married nearly 35 years! Wow! We have two grown sons who both live in the Minneapolis area. We also are enjoying being grandparents to 2 grandsons! Good times.
I love the outdoors and love to fly fish the local rivers and lakes for bass and musky. I also enjoy bow hunting each fall. There’s something special about Northern Wisconsin and the outdoors. It’s an honor and a privilege to preach the Good News of Jesus in this area!
Hello all, my name is Carlee Persinger and I am the Student Ministry Director here at the church! I am from Southern Indiana but I am excited to now call Northwest Wisconsin home! I have a HUGE heart for students of all ages and am very excited to grow in deep relationships with the students here at the church! I love going to sporting events and concerts. If you see me at one I would love to sit with you!
I am a huge animal lover and enjoy drinking tea and coffee! On my off days I enjoy, cooking, baking, reading, and crocheting!
Feel free to stop by my office sometime! I would love to grow in relationship with you! I am excited to be apart of the team here at LCC!

Hi, my name is Julie Schreiber, I am the voice you hear if you call the church office. I am a widow after 46 years of marriage. I have three grown daughters, 5 granddaughters, and three grandsons. I have been in ministry work since 1997, serving as the Director of Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center for 10 years and then coming on staff here in March of 2009. I have lived in the goodness of God my whole life!
My family means everything to me, along with my family of faith at Ladysmith Christian Church! I feel very blessed to be part of the team here!
Mission, Beliefs & Values
WE ARE A NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, AFFILIATED WITH THE CHRISTIAN CHURCHES / CHURCHES OF CHRIST
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to know Christ and to make Him known. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20, Mark 16:15)
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to fulfill the Great Commission by encouraging and equipping people to pursue intimacy with God, maturity in Christ, and community with neighbors. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Our Core Beliefs
-
The Bible is the uniquely inspired and authoritative word of God, and our final authority for theology, faith, and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12)
-
The Father/Yahweh is sovereign over all creation. (Matthew 24:36; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6)
-
Jesus Christ, the Son and revealing of the Father, miraculously born from a virgin, fully human and yet fully God. He lived a sinless life, died for the sins of mankind, rose from the dead, and lives today as Head of His church. (Matthew 1:23; Mark 1:1; John 10:30; Romans 5:8; Hebrews 7:24)
-
The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in His church. He indwells and empowers the believer to live a life of redemption. (1 John 4:13; Romans 8:4)
-
Man was originally created perfect in the image of God, but fell into sin. God in His grace offers redemption and forgiveness for the sinner by faith in the blood of Christ. (Acts 13:28; Colossians 1:14)
-
The church is the body of Christ in this world, consisting of all who are made new by the Holy Spirit and joined to Christ by faith. (Matthew 16:18; 1 Timothy 3:15)
-
Christ will return to earth one day to complete history and fulfill God’s eternal plan.
(Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7)
-
We understand that the Bible teaches a believer’s baptism by immersion.
The Lord’s Supper was given by Christ as memorial to His sacrifice, and should be celebrated regularly until His return.
(Mark 16:16, 1 Corinthians 11:24-25)
Our Core Values
-
The Greatest Commandments given in Scripture are 1) to love God, and 2) to love our neighbor. We feel that relationships – both with God and with one another – are priority in the life of our church. (Luke 10:27)
-
Followers of Jesus Christ are to be engaged in a life-long process of being transformed into His image and character, including the development and use of their spiritual gifts. (Romans 8:29; Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Corinthians 12:4-31)
-
The ministry of the church intentionally seeks to connect with the needs of our church body and of our community in practical and non-judgmental ways. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
-
Those without a personal relationship with Christ are of great concern to God. Therefore we seek to share Christ locally, nationally, and overseas. (Luke 19:10; Luke 15:3-32)
-
Under the guidance of our elders and staff, each person is equipped and empowered to serve in ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
-
Our time, abilities, and possessions belong to God, entrusted into our care to leverage for His kingdom’s purposes. (Luke 16:10-12; Matthew 25:14-29)
-
Excellence in every ministry honors God and inspires people. (Colossians 3:23)
